I've become more and more interested in fermented foods such as sauerkraut , kimchi and kefir by listening to lectures from Donna Gates of Body Ecology and Summer Brock of Fermentationist. One of my goals for this year is to start making my own sauerkraut. I've been making water- and coconut kefir since last summer and it's super easy and great for a healthy belly. Gets things moving almost right away! Kimberly Snyder was one of the first people I started following on my journey to health (besides Kris Carr) and her blog as well as her book The Beauty Detox Solution really opened my eyes to what was wrong with the way we eat. Here's an easy recipe for probiotic slaw that will become a staple in our house for sure.
