I must apologize for my absence in this blog. School is taking most my time and I've also started slowly building my own wellness related business. It's been challenging coming up with a name for it, defining my niche market and creating official business website as well as new blog for it. Katz & the City has been my joy for many years now and I'm not ready to let it go just yet. I'll continue posting stories about NYC, my travels, home life, events, my cats, friends and so on over here and my new blog will be strictly about healthy, happy living, cooking, nutrition, yoga and spirituality. I'll let you know when it's ready to be published. Hopefully I'll see you there as well!
Above photos are from my Instagram feed. Since I got an iPhone little while ago I've been totally addicted to this one little app. I post there way more than to any other social media so come take a peek!

When I don't have much food in the house I like to throw together a quick stir-fry. Things you can almost always find in our home are some sort of greens and quinoa or rice. This time I made mustard greens with quinoa, onion and cashews. You just "wok" all the ingredients together in some coconut oil until mixed and greens are cooked enough. Flavor with good quality salt, garlic, chili and soy or tamari sauce (or Bragg's liquid aminos!). If you want to add cashews, add them at the very end so they stay crunchy.
Here I threw some kale and sprouts salad on top of it. Yet another super fast and easy meal idea!

I have a whole lot of journals and they all serve their own specific purpose. The owl covered one is reserved for my Morning Pages. "Morning Pages are three pages of longhand, stream of consciousness writing, done first thing in the morning. There is no wrong way to do Morning Pages– they are not high art. They are not even “writing.” They are about anything and everything that crosses your mind– and they are for your eyes only. Morning Pages provoke, clarify, comfort, cajole, prioritize and synchronize the day at hand. Do not over-think Morning Pages: just put three pages of anything on the page… and then do three more pages tomorrow."
This one is dedicated to all my school work and notes. This is where I write notes from lectures, conferences and do my assignments. It has 150 pages, and it's 100% recycled.
These two are for other career/business/health/wellness-related notes and ideas.

I've been looking for a product that will move me forward from Bare Minerals and I might have just found it. 100% Pure Cosmetics are made with pigments from fruits and vegetables along with nature's best resources. And never tested on animals. I've been using this Healthy Flawless Skin Foundation Powder for few weeks now and really love it!
Josie Maran is not kidding when she says this concealer is creamy. It glides on super softly, it is true pleasure to use it. Too Faced's eye liner in brown requires some time for me to learn to use it. It as well is very soft and creamy and I tend to use too much of it around my eyes and eyebrows. Slowly but surely I'm getting the hang of it.
More from 100% Pure. Lavender Seafoam facial cleaner I've used for couple of months and absolutely love it. You need just a tad of it and it foams and is enough to clean your entire face. Since I loved it so much I decided to try something else from 100% Pure and got their Red Wine Resveratrol Scrub and Mask. And once again, love it. It leaves my skin feeling amazingly soft.
I decided to try this velvety product from Urban Decay because a friend recommended it. It gives nice, smooth finish, minimizes pores, redness, wrinkles, improves hydration and adds just a hint of color.
Argan oil that has just one ingredient : Argan oil. Because that's really all you need. I use this as a moisturizer for my face. And need nothing else. Even during the winter.
