WELLNESS WEDNESDAY : GREEN SMOOTHIE WITH KOMBUCHA

I was first inspired by green drinks through Kris Carr. She has an amazing, inspirational and educational website Crazy Sexy Wellness. I've been on green smoothie/juice kick for years now and this year became an owner of the Vitamix which makes me feel like I'm kind of a smoothie pro now :). 

Another healthy drink I love nowadays (after I got used to the taste) is kombucha. This fermented tea is full of probiotics, it alkalizes the body, detoxifies the liver, increases metabolism, improves digestion and is also high in antioxidants. And these are just some of the health benefits, there are much more. I'll have to dedicate an entire Wellness Wednesday just for kombucha.
Green smoothie with kombucha

1 apple or pear
1 banana
1-2 cups of greens (kale, spinach, romaine etc.)
2 stalks of celery
2 tbsp greens powder
3 tbsp hemp protein
1 tsp maca
1 tsp bee pollen
2 tsp cacao nibs
2 tsp chia seeds 
1/2 liter coconut water
1 cup kombucha

Mix all ingredients in the blender, except kombucha and chia seeds. After everything is smooth, add kombucha and chia, blend on the lowest speed for just couple of seconds. Sprinkle some extra bee pollen on top.
