This posting is way overdue and was already published (in Finnish)in online magazine Sylvi. I'm happy to share these delicious photos from dinner Annabella and I had at Upper East Side's Vegan Wine Bar and Bistro V-Note (79th St. & First Avenue). For appetizer we had Cape Cod cakes (blend of hiziki seaweed, tofu and herbs served with tartar sauce).
For entree I chose Seitan Piccata (seitan cutlets in white wine lemon-caper sauce, mashed potatoes and grilled escarole. This is my absolute favorite dish!

Annabella had Crispy Pinenut & Basil Seitan (pinenut and basil crusted seitan cutlets in a creamy white wine sauce with pineapple, roasted potatoes and cherry tomatoes). This dish was highly recommended by our awesome waiter.

We enjoyed a bottle of organic wine that was just perfect addition to our meal.
V-Note is very beautiful and has relaxed atmosphere. Service was fast and friendly, our server recommended great dishes and was on point with everything. This restaurant is a bit out of the way, but it is a great place to have lunch or dinner if you are visiting the Met Museum (like we were).
