I've been wanting to try So Tasty Vegan's pop-up dinners since they started doing them this summer. $40 for a four-course gourmet vegan dinner is not bad at all. So I blackmailed the carnivore husband to come with me and we went. And guess what? He actually liked everything (minus his number one enemy: mushrooms).Enjoy the delicious pics!
One: Creamy white bean and fennel soup with basil chive oil, crisp kale and radicchio
Two: Grilled artichoke with horseradish cream, arugula with preserved lemon vinaigrette, rosemary almonds.
Three: Tamari Glazed portobello, almond encrusted tempeh, maple roasted carrots, lemon shallot asparagus, chive whipped cauliflower and potato, wild mushroom pâté, sage and parsley chimichurri, roasted vegetable Demi glacé.
Four: Double chocolate lava cake with chocolate ganache, Pinot noir berry reduction, vanilla coconut coulis, fresh peach and mint compote.
