Last photos from Epcot.
That's all I have to show of Epcot Center (missing photos from Italy and Germany) and we can return to our regular programming. It seems that we brought the heat and sun from Florida with us and today is going to be a beach day!Hot, hot, hot! Have a great weekend everyone! XO

Al Mamlakah al Maghribiyah, also known as Kingdom of Morocco, was probably my favorite area to hang out. Everything was so pretty and I could just daydream being in actual Morocco (which is one of the places I would love to visit in real world).
We had lunch at this cool restaurant that had live music and dance as well as fresh peppermint tea (green tea with fresh peppermint leaves). Food, specifically mine, was huge disappointment once again. I ordered the only vegetarian option on the menu and it was flavorless couscous with few pieces of boiled cabbage, summer squash, sweet potato and chick peas. Where were the moroccan flavors? Nowhere to be found. $14 for that was a bit too much.

After Norway we traveled to China. Colossal Buddhist temples, Chinese food of course as well as many markets with "made in China" stuff. The heat was extremely high at this point (I think it was noon) so we looked for shade in their bamboo "forest".

Fast facts about China:

Animal: The giant panda is considered a Chinese national treasure. Just over 1,000 survive in the wild, most of them to be found in Sichuan Province.

Flower: China does not have an "official" national flower, but the tree peony can be regarded as a national favorite. The tree peony (mudan) received the most votes in an unofficial survey conducted in 1994 in every district in China asking people to select a national flower.

Land size: China has a landmass of 9,600,000 sq km, and is the third-largest country in the world, next only to Russia and Canada. Cultivated land is 130.04 million ha.

Border countries: Korea, Mongolia, Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tadzhikistan, Afghanistan, Pakistan, India, Nepal, Bhutan, Myanmar, Laos and Vietnam.

After Mexico we came to a place closer to home: Norway. Their giftshops sold Swedish Fish and Anna's gingerbread cookies. We were going to come back here to check out what kind of foods their restaurants served, but ran out of time. Husband, of course, was all psyched about the vikings. He loves the show Vikings on TV, so this was almost as exciting as visiting the Harry Potter world earlier.

Epcot is the second of four theme parks built at Walt Disney World in Bay Lake, Florida. It opened on 1982, and spans 300 acres. Celebrating the human spirit, Epcot has 2 distinct realms: Future World, which features technological innovations, and World Showcase, which shares the culture and cuisine of 11 countries: Mexico, Norway, China, Germany, Italy, the United States, Japan, Morocco, France, United Kingdom and Canada. Here's few photos from the Mexico pavilion.

Pointe Orlando is a shopping and entertainment area that offers over forty stores, movie theater, all different types of restaurants and exciting nightlife near Orlando's entertainment center, International Drive. We had dinner here one night at Adobe Gilas which is a bar & restaurant serving Mexican cuisine and they also had really nice singer/band playing classic rock covers. Good times.
Our last meal in Florida we had at the chain restaurant Tommy Bahama's which turned out to be one of the best meals we had on this trip. I had their veggie burger with salad and some delicious cocktail made with fresh fruit. We ate outside in their beautiful patio and just enjoyed the day since we had an evening flight coming back home.
