Few weeks ago we decided to stay in a hotel close to work and picked the Empire. I had visited their rooftop quite a few times in the past and liked the vibe of it. Once I saw they had a nice last minute (50%) discount on Expedia we booked it and drove to the city.
We had originally booked the king suite, but at check-in got upgraded to a corner suite which was larger and had beautiful view of the Lincoln Center. Our room was very nicely decorated and renovated, modern bathroom, L'Occitane shampoos and soaps, very spacious with dining area and funky furnishings.
Hotel has 422 rooms and suites, lobby bar, Ed's Chowder House restaurant as well as rooftop pool/lounge/bar. We ordered room service for dinner and breakfast which was actually quite much nicer than eating out.
I love the wallpaper in the corridors.
View of the Lincoln Center from our suite.
Breakfast in the room.
I also received some cute visitors in the morning for coffee...
