It's been a while since I shared my current beauty must haves that I've grown to love. There are few that have been with me for years now including the Bee Yummy Skin Food day/night lotion, Amal Oils organic Argan Oil (for face) and tea tree oil for breakouts.
Now let's talk about toners. I've been opposed to buying toners for years, but I think my skin could use it to minimize the pores and get any traces of make up off the skin. Toners are not necessary for every skin type, but if you have oily and acne-prone skin like I do, it's a good addition to your regime. But I refuse to spend big bucks on it. Therefore I did some research online and created my own that seems to be a great fit for my skin. I store it in a glass Schweppes bottle (in case you were wondering what that bottle is doing in this picture). My toner is very simple to make; I mix apple cider vinegar and  filtered water (1/2 & 1/2 ratio) and add few drops of jojoba oil. Jojoba oil is great for oily skin control. Here are few other options for different types of DIY skin toners.
Coconut oil and I have become best buddies because I just can't get over the fact how great it works for cooking, make up removal, hair mask, massage oil and body moisturizer. And Moses loves to eat it! I only give him very little though, I don't need him to gain any more weight... Another product that my friend bought me from the streets of Harlem is this raw African shea butter. This huge container only cost $5!
In short my skin care routine goes like this:
1. Clean face, neck and eye make up with coconut oil
2. Toner
3. Argan oil for problem areas
(4. Tea tree oil as spot treatment for blemishes if any)
5. Bee Yummy moisturizer

Be natural! Throw away all those toxic products in your cabinet!
