GREENWICH VILLAGE WORKING GIRL

This week I started a new job (yet again). I was not happy at the old one and I just knew it was time to go before I got stuck. I was lucky to find another job after just one interview. I'm back in the hospitality industry, but have steady hours and no evenings, weekends or holidays. And there's no dress code so for the first time in my life I can wear whatever I want for work. This week it's been maxi dresses in all colors.
The best part of this job is the location. I finally got away from Midtown Manhattan and now work in the most beautiful part of the West Village. I can't tell you how much I love walking to work and exploring the neighborhood during my break. Daydreaming about owning one of these gorgeous brownstones... If only I had about 14 million dollars.
So far I've found few favorites in the immediate neighborhood such as 'Snice for vegetarian foods and Cowgirl for their frozen margaritas and onion rings.

So that's what's going on in my life right now. Change is good. Shorter work days. More fun. New people. Learning.
Have a happy weekend darlings!

  1. Oh, I am so envious! I DREAM of living and working in the West Village. Just yesterday my roommate and I took a walk over there and spent the morning picking out our future apartments and all the restaurants that would become our regular spots ;).

If I could live in the West Village, I would live in NYC forever.

Enjoy this amazing change in your life! I hope to one day be working and living there, too.

    1. Hey Cady!

Thanks for your sweet note! I spend my lunch breaks just walking around and day dreaming about how awesome it must be to live there. And some of those houses are just unbelievable. Not to mention all the cute little stores and cafes. I even went online to see how much I would have to spend to get my own townhouse, or even a condo there, but yeah, we are talking about millions and millions... Have a great weekend!

    2. Olen käynyt siellä vain kerran, vuonna 2004. Siitä lähtien on ollut kova hinku takaisin. Haaveissa olisi syksyllä tai talvella tulla, mutta saa nyt nähdä miten käy.

  4. So beautiful. Although I am a countryside girl at heart, I could really see myself living there!

One of the main reasons why I still work where I do (even though it's not an ideal place) is that it's Monday to Friday, no evenings, no weekends. I need the free weekends to get myself together. So congratulations on your new job! :)
