Iittala "Kivi" votives
I gave you a sneak peek of our girls night in here, and here's few more shots from the night. My friend, who is an artist, lives here in the middle of Manhattan in this gigantic loft with her husband and so much cool design and stuff I could photograph all day.
Crispy rye buttons from Finland taste so yummy with some hummus and served on Arabia's "Paratiisi" (Paradise) plate.
I'm so in love with Pentik reindeer candle holders.
Spain inspired bathroom.
Me too.
Have a great weekend everyone! Any fun plans?

The Vegan Stoner's Soy Lazy Tacos
Once again super recipe from Vegan Stoner. How quick and easy is this! I changed the recipe quite a bit because my local Trader Joe's did not have vegan cream cheese available (and I'm really not a fan of cream cheese anyways), so I used tomato salsa instead. I also added some chopped raw red onion and tomato-bell pepper-cucumber salad. Yum! Carnivore (husband) approved! That's the first one!
Bonum appetitionem! That's bon appetit in Latin.

We've had some wonderfully warm weather this week, but unfortunately I get to enjoy it only for about an hour a day due to long days at work. I also felt like some bug was trying to get me sick and hurried to Organic Avenue today to buy some shots of chlorophyll and wheatgrass. I felt better pretty soon after taking them, but still have scratchy throat. I'm actually sipping green smoothie with extra sea buckthorn powder as I write this, I also took oil of oregano and have a glass of water with half a lemon squeezed in it waiting for me before I go to bed. I do not want to be sick for the weekend! I refuse! The fight continues. Enjoy your weekend!

Here's a little sneak peek from last week's "girls night in" at my artist friend's gorgeous midtown loft filled with tons of cool design. I love loft living...
P.S. With all the beautiful things NYC has to offer I still miss Finland and the peaceful lifestyle there. If you want to help me go back home this summer (just for a visit) please vote for my video on Lumene USA Facebook page HERE. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

Sushi Shop just opened near my job and has been my place to go when I want to reward myself with good lunch for all the hard work I do and all the stress my boss pours on my shoulders (for no reason). I always sit upstairs where they have soft, spacious booths, the lighting is dim enough and music very ambient and relaxing. They also offer many vegetarian sushi options, salads, soups and Japanese desserts. I've been here about five times now for lunch and service has been very friendly and attentive every time.
My favorites are the spicy miso soup (could be way more spicier though)and the pink vegetarian roll. One thing I would like to criticize is the use of disposable bowls for soup and salad. I would also LOVE to enjoy my edamame warm and sea-salted. Cold edamame isn't lovable at all. Sorry.
Look at those delicious colors!!!
So if you're in Midtown East and looking for a quiet place to sit down and unwind or have a business meeting I warmly recommend Sushi Shop. See you there!

One more point from my New Year's intentions list (point 7; Be more creative) was filled when I discovered how easy and fun editing home videos is. I'm still a beginner, this is my second video ever so please forgive me for the quick cuts and especially my very unsteady hand when holding the camera (just terrible). I promise to become better videographer and editor very soon. Promise!

It was very strange that I had zero hangover on Sunday even I kept mixing drinks all day long on Saturday starting with the Master Cleanse Tinis, then going with the Sangria at the restaurant and finishing the night off with some bubbly. Might have been because I kept eating steadily the entire evening plus I drank a big bottle of lemon water before going to sleep. So the next morning I felt happy and energized sipping my green smoothie and IM chatting with my family in Finland.
My favorite herb; Cilantro (Coriandrum Sativum).
Kombucha saves any day. Sometimes when I feel nauseous, lack of energy or my stomach bothers me, Kombucha to the rescue. They say Kombucha detoxifies the body and energizes the mind. I think it's true.
I also spent the entire day in pajamas. Days like this rock. Enjoy your day sweethearts and make the best of it!
