HUSBAND'S BIRTHDAY PARTY

Husband grew one year older this weekend and I was in charge of organizing something fun. I made Master Cleanse Tinis to start the night off festive, which is my favorite cocktail.
We went for an early dinner at our local Cuban restaurant that has very festive atmosphere and something for every taste. I've taken you there before, when it was beautiful hot summer day.
White and red sangria, of course.
This is my first time trying this dish, vegetarian paella, and oh my gosh, it was super delicious and so flavorful. I will have to go back for it.
At the end of our dinner we were greeted with hale.
After dinner we headed back to our house for some cake (raspberry and chocolate) and champagne.
 And coconut macaroons.
We had fun night playing Taboo, laughing a lot, eating sweets and drinking bubbly. Good times!
And then we'll just wait for my birthday next... Soon! Have a beautiful week!

    1. Thank you! We had more fun than we've had in a while. I'm not big on parties, but throwing one for my husband was actually fun. Enjoy Stockholm! Hope the weather will be great!

  3. Oh, I would love to hear more about your cleanse experience once you're there. Are you going to blog about it? I'm finally doing a juice cleanse and detox this spring now that I have a job that enables it better than my old job.

    Happy Monday!

  4. Yeah, I'll probably blog about the cleanse - if not daily, a few times anyway. I've done the Master Cleanse maybe 4-5 times before but not in a long time now. I need it both physically & mentally.

    1. Thank you very much Jo! I stole the scarf from a friend, I believe it's from India and has silver sparkles in it that you can't unfortunately see from that horribly dark photo... I just love taking photos at night time. Not.

  7. this looks like a lot of fun! I'm so happy to be back in NYC although the weather yesterday was pretty awful. Didn't really do much at all, bought a very much needed umbrella and tried to fight the jet lag. Today I'm in the office on 58th & Madison so I guess not too far from your office :)

    1. Yes, you got pretty bad weather since today doesn't look much brighter... Hopefully weekend gets better. We are heading out to the countryside Pennsylvania Friday evening to celebrate our anniversary and my birthday, so would appreciate some sun. Hey! You're only 4 blocks away from my office! Do you have any free time for a quick meetup today or tomorrow????
