Mr. was struck with cold during the holidays (thank goodness it wasn't as bad as last year) and asked me to brew some green tea for him. Knowing me, I decided to add a few extra ingredients to make it even more effective. I boiled some filtered water and once taken off the stove I added few bags of organic green tea, mango-passion fruit herbal tea for flavor and two bags of Yerba Mate for natural caffeine kick and let them brew for about 5 minutes under the cover so it won't cool off too quickly. Once not boiling hot anymore (hot water kills the beneficial vitamins and nutrients) I added some honey and fresh, finely cut ginger root and let it sit for another 5 minutes or so. Voila!
For lunch; delicious tacos with faux-chicken strips flavored with taco spices.
It's been one busy week at work, but we're being rewarded with a three day weekend. Thank you Martin Luther King. "Yes, if you want to say that I was a drum major, say that I was a drum major for justice. Say that I was a drum major for peace. I was a drum major for righteousness. And all of the other shallow things will not matter."
