NEW FAVORITES

There's just something wonderful about this $10 Indian lunch from Brick Lane Curry House. Comes with warm naan and a dessert.  Can't beat that.
Theraneem Organix shampoo and conditioners are vegan, toxic free as well as cruelty free. They are also designed to treat scalp issues with a superpower plant called Neem. Native to India and Burma, this little nutrient is known in tropical regions as the “village pharmacy” for its amazing properties. It’s a cornerstone of Ayurveda, and has been utilized as a medicinal herb for almost 5,000 years.

Neem is also an eco-friendly herb that is contributing to developing countries—it only sheds its leaves during extreme droughts, so it provides shade year-round, and its plantations generate income for rural communities. And it's great to know what the company you are supporting by buying their products does good for the community and the earth; Organix-South pays above market prices and helps farmers convert to organic. i like the runny consistency of the shampoo and the conditioner just smells so wonderful I don't want to rinse it out. Ever. They also have many other really cool products from supplements to pet care. I'm tempted to try the shampoo for Miina and Moses. I bet they would love it. Even they don't love bathing.
These following products are great for travel and when I want to carry as little stuff with me as possible. When we went to Arizona I didn't bring bottles of facial cleansers and toners, I just brought few of these cleansing pads and wipes in a small sandwich sized ziploc bag. They take off all the make up (I use the cucumber towelettes also for my eye make up, not sure if it's recommended, but works great) and they also moisturize my skin at the same time.
And the last, but not the least, heaven scented "India soap". Our entire bathroom smells "just like India" when I take this soap out of the package. It's zero irritating for my sensitive skin. Ayurvedic, made of vegetable oils, does not contain any animal fat nor is it tested on animals. The ingredients in Chandrika are Coconut oil to nourish and moisturize, Wild ginger to soothe and help prevent infections and rashes, Lime peel oil for rich lather, Hydnocarpus oil to help prevent skin problems, rashes and outbreaks and Orange oil to tighten pores and prevent pimples and blackheads and Sandalwood oil to cool, refresh and perfume your skin (and the entire floor where your shower is located). Pure love.
