Crispy "duck" salad
After yet another job interview in Midtown East I rewarded myself with healthy, but extremely delicious lunch. I used Happy Cow app on my cell phone to locate the closest vegan restaurant and  Franchia showed up first, just few blocks away. So that's where I headed. Franchia is casual Asian Fusion Restaurant and Cafe at Park Avenue and 34th St. The atmosphere was quite zen (classical Asian music), the space large and and service very welcoming.
Hot and Sweet soup
I was starving so I ordered little bit of everything; kimchi dumplings and salad that came with delicious sweet and hot soup. As well as refreshing iced Tealatta as soon as I walked in because it was one of the hottest days of the summer.
Fried Kimchi Dumplings
I warmly recommend Franchia. I've been dreaming about going back, but unfortunately this is nowhere near my job. It would be great place to bring a carnivore as well due to the faux meats on the menu. That crispy duck salad I ordered was so much better than real duck, because it didn't have that nasty fat duck meat tends to have.
Sweet Darjeeling Chai Tealatta (with soy whipped cream)
And of course I was wearing all black on this steaming hot summer day...
