A NIGHT WITH AVEDA

This is the Urban Girl Squad Aveda-event I mentioned earlier. There was a great group of us ladies learning great tips about how to style our hair with heating tools and what products work best for our individual hair types. I personally was looking for ways to give my hair some body and volume and those lovely "Victorias Secret"- waves.
Many of us just keep buying products without really knowing how to use them the best way possible to achieve the most beautiful hair and same goes with the heating tools. I have four different size and type curling irons, flat iron and hot rollers. Oh, and that blow dryer too. I'm really bad with that and have no idea how to give my hair any style while drying it.
So while sipping some wine and enjoying hors d'oeuvres, hand, neck and shoulder massages we also got consultations from Aveda professionals on how to achieve the look we want for our hair. I've been a fan of Aveda and their green mission for quite a few years and here is why.
I had fun time and left with bag full of great products, some given as a gift, some bought.
From left to right; Air control hair spray (light hold, smells like India, love it. Key ingredients certified organic flax seed, certified organic Jojoba and Pine Resin), Style Infusion Style-Prep Smoother (smoothens hair, humidity shield, protects from heat. Key ingredients organic tapioca, maize, aloe, guar bean),
Control Force hair spray (Firm hold, 24hr humidity defense. Key ingredients certified organic flax seed, Marshmallow root, corn-derived porpanediol, rice bran), Pure Abundance volumizing clay conditioner  (Boosts volume. Key ingredients certified organic Acacia gum, organically grown Calendula, Honey, Kaolin Clay, Marshmallow) and Scalp Benefits balancing conditioner (soothes and hydrates the scalp creating ideal foundation for healthy hair. Key ingredients Babassu, Burdock root, Echinacea, Sage leaf, Seabuckthorn oil, Vetiver).
Have a good hair day!

  1. Looks like fun! I'd love to go to something like that. I'm the worst at buying products and having no idea how to properly use them.
