HOT SUMMER STREETS OF HARLEM

I was invited to go to the Harlem H&M Re-Opening VIP Party about a week ago and took my partner in crime with me. This is only our second time exploring Harlem this summer (our first trip here), but wow, we really love it. Quiet streets, old brownstones, friendly folks, big churches and just so much life.
We had some time before the party started so after a Happy Hour at Chom Chom we took the train uptown and just walked around.
I want one of these...
And then we get to the party; big discounts, cute DJ, cocktails and hors d'oeuvres. Here's photo gallery "Uptown's Finest" taken at the party.
Since the hors d'oeuvres weren't enough we went to Sylvia's nearby and waited for our food over an hour even the place was not even busy. This was my second time here (I was here first time in 2002...) and I don't think I'll ever come back. There are just so many other Soul Food restaurants that are so much better. Unfortunately Sylvia's has become a tourist trap and the quality has gone down the drain.
