Let's talk about sugar. I've always had terrible sweet tooth. I love candy, pastries, cakes, ice cream and my sugar cravings get really bad at times. I struggle daily to fight the urge to eat these unhealthy items and have lowered my sugar intake by not drinking sugary drinks. Otherwise I don't really pay attention to what is the sugar content of the items I buy. There's a new site called Sugar Stacks that does all the work for you in case you're wondering how much sugar certain items really have. It uses photos of sugar cubes to show you just how the sugar in your favorite foods stack up. It's quite interesting. For example, I used to go to Jamba Juice a lot (before discovering Pump and their lovely protein shake) and this website displays some of their smoothies and their sugar content. Quite amazing still, even I knew the taste was too good to be completely healthy.
