DAY 7 AT HOME

House in the Hamptons I lived for one summer working for a multimillionaire.

Wow, it's so nice not to be at work. Past week I've been at work only 3 days and I feel great. I love being home and not have work ruin 8 hours of my day (+commute time). I'm so much happier. I need to figure out how to make this lifestyle possible. And sure, once I'll figure it out, I'll let you know. And no, I'm not trying to get pregnant and be stay-at-home-mom. I want to do something I'm passionate about. Design, animal rights, environmental issues, health food. Few options.

Today I had round 2 of interviews with this marketing, advertising and consulting company I applied to work for. I like the fast growth opportunities they offer and the extensive management training program, but I don't like that fact that I need to work my way up from all the way from the bottom. Let me start in the middle and I'm good. I did get the job, but I'm not sure if I'll accept it. I probably won't. And the job hunt continues... By the way, it was quite useless trying to tame my hair with hot rollers, because with all the rain, wind and humidity it was a huge mess by the time I got to the interview. They didn't seem to care though, so whatever. Only hairdo for weather like this is tight and sleek bun or ponytail.

Their office is located right next to this big mall and after the interview I went for some window shopping. Window shopping turned into real shopping when I found the perfect wide leg jean that could probably pass at work too. They're Kenneth Cole New York's "Krista" pant. Perfect fit! The inseam is long enough so I can wear them with heels (so hard to find pants that have tall fit) and they seem to lift up my butt. A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. I will test it first on casual Fridays and weekends and then bring them in in the middle of the week and see if anyone says anything.

  1. Though I'd also love to be a stay-at-home worker, the tendencies to become a couch potato are immense! Cute pants, by the way :)

  2. I know Dorkys. That's what happends during my days off if I'm home alone and don't need to act like I'm spending my days off cleaning and being useful around the house. But I think it can be controlled by setting strict schedule and rules such as no TV, no Facebook, etc...
